October 2011 Athlete of the Month
34-year-old Chris Lindley grew up in Northern California and went on to play College Basketball, compete in Mountain Biking, and thrive in the sport of Karate. After completing Grad School and earning a Master’s in Public Health, Chris moved to Denver and began a career that led him to his current position: Division Director of Preventative Services for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. This career ladder included a stint in the U.S. Army Reserves where Chris earned a Bronze Star while serving a tour in Iraq. Today, in his spare time, Chris owns and operates Denver’s celebrated Qi Athletic Club & Yoga Studios. Leading the State Health Department and his Club’s team of trainers and staff by example, Chris teaches over 15 spin classes and boot camps a week, plays with his children, supports the City Park Running Club and occasionally participates in endurance events; Chris completed the TransRockies Run this summer (120 miles in 6 days).
