August 2012 Athlete of the Month
29-year-old Eileen Thomas-Wells’ introduction to NPC fitness was by chance and completely unintentional. In 2008 Eileen was diagnosed with a rare condition that forced her to eat clean and changed her life forever. Until 2008 Eileen was always an active athlete, but had never weight trained in her life. Since 2008 she has competed in numerous NPC competitions with highlights of winning overall in the fitness division at NPC’s Rocky Mountain 2010, and placing 2nd in her class at her first national show, NPC’s Jr. USAs 2011. By day she is a Software Solutions Engineer. Before and after work she’s a fitness athlete pursuing her IFBB Pro fitness card. Upcoming shows later this summer include the NPC’s Warrior Classic, and NPC’s North Americans. Eileen says this journey through the world of bodybuilding and competition has redefined her understanding of fitness, motivation, will power, self discipline, pain and respect!
